GUIDE
THE PAPER FIBER STREAM-BIN
ONE
CARDBOARD:
Corrugated sheets and boxes (flattened), cereal and other pasteboard
packaging, file folders, poster board, brown paper bags, etc. Please cut
down large boxes and remove plastic windows. GLOSSY
PAPER: Material that
has a glossy sheen including: magazines, catalogs, flyers, etc. MIXED
OFFICE PAPER: Office
paper including copy, construction, envelopes, computer, tablets and
pads, phonebooks, workbooks with plastic binding removed, and junk mail.
No 3-ring binders. NEWSPAPER:
Newspaper and all included paper items. No plastic bags or rubber bands. BOOKS:
Place hardcover and paperback books in a paper bag for easy separation.
The District maintains a library consisting of thousands of books
available free at the Recycling Center. DO
NOT MIX PAPER FIBER AND COMMINGLE MATERIALS TOGETHER! THE COMMINGLE STREAM-BIN TWO
PLASTICS:
All plastic containers numbers 1, through 7 (No Styrofoam), shopping
bags (multiple plastic bags must be placed inside one bag), Labels and
lids do not need removed. Call for unlisted grades GLASS:
Clean food or beverage container glass. No
bulbs, ornamental, plate/window, Pyrex or cookware. All containers must
be rinsed free of food waste/other contaminants. Labels and lids do not
need removed. ALUMINUM
FOIL: Aluminum foil
and pans rinsed free of food waste/other contaminants SORRY,
WE CAN NOT ACCEPT: Adhesive materials; used tissue paper/paper towels, oil/food
contaminated paper
materials, film/photographs,
paper containers
with attached
metal or plastic ends or spouts, cardboard juice or milk
containers, propane (flammable gas) tanks, pet food bags; carbon paper;
or items with food or other contaminants. Please keep your recycling

APPLIANCES:
Large and small
includes: air conditioners, refrigerators, freezers, furnaces, dish
washers, water heaters, ranges, washers, dryers, toasters, mixers,
sweepers, fans, etc. ELECTRONIC
WASTE: Everything
electronic! Computers and accessories, stereo equipment, DVD & video
players, copiers, etc. $5 fee for tube type Monitors and Televisions; OTHER
PLASTICS: ABS, shrink
rap, and vinyl siding (less than 4’ lengths). Call for others USED
OIL: Used motor or
hydraulic oil free of gasoline, solvents or other contaminants FLUORESCENT
LIGHTS: 4’ and 8’
tubes residential use bulbs only USED
TIRES: $3.00 per
passenger car or truck tire. Call for larger tire prices CAR/TRUCK/MOTORCYCLE
BATTERIES:
wet cell only CURBSIDE
RECYCLING: Bins must
be out by 7:30 a.m.. Please avoid extreme weather setout. Materials
placed in plastic bags will not be collected. The first two recycling
bins are available for your use free. Replacement bins are $7.00 each. Recycling Center Hours: Mon, Wed, Fri 9:00 – 5:00. First and third Saturday 8:00-Noon. Holiday schedules changes available 24 hours-per-day by calling 238-7767. |
